Elizabethtown College Hosts 2019 Landmark Summer Research Conference
Recently, Elizabethtown College hosted the 2019 Landmark Summer Research Conference. Students from participating Landmark Conference colleges and universities including Elizabethtown College, Goucher College, Juniata College, Moravian College, and Susquehanna University, shared their insights on undergraduate research projects.
Students gathered in the Hoover Business building to present research projects they completed this summer to their peers and faculty.
“The purpose of research is to advance knowledge and pursue truth,” Elizabethtown College Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Research and Planning, Kyle Kopko said. “That is a noble endeavor because it helps to make our society a better place.”
The fields of research presented include biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, math and computer science, earth science, ecology, philosophy, and sociology. View a list of the presentations.
Landmark Conference holds the symposium each year to create a way for students to come together in an academic setting, and allow students working on summer research projects to present their work to faculty and peers from other Landmark institutions.
