E-town Opinion: Discussing Global Climate Change

On March 15, students around the globe demonstrated for the environment. Their actions showed them to be future-looking and smarter than many of our elected officials who ignore science.

Elizabethtown College Professor of anthropology Robert Wheelersburg authored the opinion, “Trump gives Arctic warming cold shoulder” published recently in Lancaster Newspapers. Read the full text.

Robert Wheelersburg is a professor of anthropology at Elizabethtown College with a doctorate in Arctic studies from Brown University. He has conducted field research on Arctic peoples for nearly 40 years in Sweden, Iceland, and Russia. He is a retired Army major who worked with NATO’s Iceland Defense Force for nearly a decade.
